Faiz's 23rd
|
|
Faiz turned 24.
And I had the lone cupcake with the lone sparkler! It was really random, but I couldn't let his birthday pass without some small attempt at a celebration.
And his Ikea table. .
We went out the next day and celebrated with some of his friends from architecture, at e55. It's been so long since I've been there and it brought back some old memories. It was dark and hazy, and with all of us sitting around that table, it really made me think of scenes from That 70s Show.

Aji's 21st
|
|
She turned 21 and the candles came out in full force, thanks to Aca! I hope it was as wonderful for her as it seemed to me. The winds kept blowing out the candles, and we kept attempting the shield the little tea lights until Aji actually got there.
Happy 21st makcik!
The next day, she, Faiz and I headed to Melbourne Central and gorged ourselves on food. Yum. The decadent April babies indeed.

Everyone is meant to turn their lights off for an hour during this date, and it's meant to raise awareness about conservation.
I played my little part.
This is what my apartment looked like during Earth Hour.
So go the candles, and off with the electricity! Go awareness!

Petrovic Bowling Tryouts

Picking the team for the inter-club bowling competition. Congratulations team!
Lots of fun and laughs all around. There's nothing quite like bowling to foster that friendly competition.

BBQ at South Melbourne
|
|
It was the coldest barbecue I've ever attended!
It was a good thought, considering we had nothing better to do during the Easter holidays, and it was good to get out and do something.
Unfortunately, the weather was much, MUCH colder than anyone anticipated.
But the thought was much appreciated, and I doubt it'll be one forgotten so easily, considering that half of us gave up halfway and sat shivering near the buildings!

Visit to Geelong
|
|
An impromptu visit down to Geelong to visit Nat.
We were supposed to catch the Rip Curl surfing competition but we missed the first train there, and obviously didn't make it in time.
Faiz and I managed to catch a nap beside the waterfront, however, after walking right smack into the Jaguar exhibition. It was beautifully sunny.
We had tea at one of the waterfront cafes, and gorged ourselves on one of the biggest servings of nachos. Gah. It felt disgusting by the time we finished!

The Elgin Streeters annual housewarming, Hugh, James, Justin and Katie hosted another one of their parties.
Loving the random DJ jumping up and spinning the live music, good fun all times round!

Catching up with Rashini at the end of our blocks. It's been tricky, because she's been at the Western and we've been at RMH and vice versa.
How typically Australian, to hit the pubs after.

As usual, one of those crazy nights of drinking. We went to a really nice bar called Gin Palace, and James made a very sweet speech.
Happy birthday dude!

Petrovic Barbecue
|
|
Petrovic's annual barbecue on the banks of the Yarra, at some random place Amir suggested called Alexandra Avenue.
I think there were a couple of us who underestimated the distance and ended up getting lost. I know I did!
It was our first event of the year - and the weather was perfect for it too. Who says no to free food?
